Damon Brock is a singer-songwriter making hopeful music - tender folk rock, catchy indie pop, wistful Americana, and everything in between.
Damon was always a gifted singer. He sang in choirs as a treble and performed at venues across Europe. In his teens, he began writing lyrics, and in his twenties, he picked up a guitar for the first time. He started writing songs right away, though his shyness kept him from sharing them widely.
Then a series of life-changing events shifted his perspective. He fell in love with someone who soon developed a hidden disability, requiring his care. They married, had a child, and in the same year as their child's birth, Damon’s father passed away. These events, moving to Worthing and living through lockdown became the catalyst for him to pursue his music further.
So, with a catalogue of tunes in the bank, Damon started sharing his music, enlisting Brighton-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Steve Baker to help create his debut EP, “Resolute,” released in February 2024.
And in October 2024, , Damon released his second EP, "The Summer Of Our Content”, containing tracks variously compared to Harry Styles, Lindisfarne, early Duran Duran, The Strawbs and Squeeze in their pomp, and garnering such praise as:

And so to 2025 – Damon spent the winter crafting a set of folk-leaning songs to be released across the year. This time, he’s stripped back the songs to just him and his guitar, so that the narratives come to the fore. He’s excited to share these, starting with a Different Light on 2 May.
He plays live when he’s able to whilst caring for his wife and raising his son, and is looking forward to sharing his music with more eager listeners.
